All for the volunteers

You wish to put your strengths and your skills at the disposal of a world unique international sporting event? You wish to round off your knowledge? You have some free time? Be part of a dynamic team, live a rewarding human experience and come and meet fiery, passionate and true athletes!

Numerous privileges are offered to the Défi sportif volunteers

Training

For all new volunteers, there is a compulsory basic training session on the Défi sportif and the reception of persons living with disabilities.
Three dates are proposed:

• Tuesday March 16, 2010, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, in Défi sportif premises
• Thursday March 18, 2010, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, in Défi sportif premises
• Saturday April 24, 2010, from 10:00 to 12:30 AM, at Complexe sportif Claude-Robillard

For all volunteers, a training session specific to the position held is offered, on Saturday, April 10, 2010, from 9:00 to 12:30 AM at Collège de Maisonneuve.

Volunteers party

New this year, Défi sportif closing party. Gathering of all volunteers and athletes who participated in the Défi sportif, on Sunday May 2, starting at 6 p.m., at the Delta Centre-ville.

Hall of fame

Every year, the Défi sportif organizers acknowledge the dedication of volunteers who have been participating in the event for numerous years. An evening of recognition will honour them in the fall following the Défi sportif.

Le Rassembleur

The volunteers' newsletter is published every day during the five days of competition and is totally dedicated to you. You'll learn all about the Défi sportif, the special activities and the gossip of the day.

T-shirt/Jersey

So that you can be easily identified, you will be given a volunteer T-shirt/Jersey in the Défi sportif colours at the time of your accreditation.

Meals

Meals are offered on site, according to the number of hours worked.
