For many years, Défi sportif AlterGo has been benefitting from the generosity of its many partners. Thanks to their dedication and involvement, these partners support a unique event in the world and contribute to promoting social inclusion and universal accessibility. In the same spirit, last December, the companies of the Rézoway ecosystem made a generous donation to the 35th edition of the Défi sportif AlterGo.
UNIVERSAL ACCESSIBILITY, A MAJOR ISSUE
“Rézoway is working every day to support companies facing challenges, not only for business matters but also for acculturation, both in terms of professional and human aspects,” explained Laurent Satre, President of Rézoway. This is why Rézoway decided to complement its Christmas festivities with something new: a silent auction to raise funds for Défi sportif AlterGo.
First, the goal was to mobilize and raise awareness about universal accessibility to companiesof the Rézoway network in order to familiarize them with the local issues and encourage them to become positively involved in their environment. Secondly, the rationale of the silent auction was to sensitize businesses to the cause of people with functional limitations and related major issues. This approach, more so than the resulting donation, demonstrates the extent to which the Rézoway ecosystem is an advocate of universal accessibility!
UNIVERSAL ACCESSIBILITY, A NOBLE CAUSE
“Universal accessibility is a concept that we take for granted when we are able-bodied,” explains Mr. Satre. He believes it is a noble cause whose impacts and needs can be observed on a daily basis in the places wevisit and the actions we take. “Universal accessibility is a cause that affects us all,” he added.
Recognizing the value of sports, Rézoway wishes to contribute to the abolition of obstacles for people with functional limitations in this field. “The fight for universal accessibility also involves sports,” stated Mr. Satre.
Located in Montreal since 2013, Rézoway’s mission is to accompany small and medium-sized French companies wishing to develop their business projects in North America. The company offers consulting and support services, a business centre with a capacity of 40 companies, ancillary activities and personalized assistance services for transatlantic business development.
