Actor and author Patrice Godin has agreed to be one of the ambassadors for the 35th edition of Défi sportif AlterGo, which will take place from April 23 to 29, 2018, at seven competition venues in Montreal and on the South Shore.

Patrice is a well-known actor, notably for his roles in Le 7e Round, Providence, Destinées, La Marraine and Blue Moon. He is also the author of “Territoires Inconnus”, a story about running, and a novel entitled “Boxer la nuit”. Patrice is also a sports enthusiast. Since the late 2000s, he has been an avid runner. He has participated in several ultramarathons, covering distances ranging from 50 to 335 kilometres. Sport is now an integral part of his life.

Since its very first edition, Défi sportif AlterGo is proud to count on spokespersons and ambassadors who are actively involved in promoting this unique event throughout the world. Whether from a political, leisure, cinema or music background, these personalities are strong advocates of social inclusion and supporters of universal accessibility.

Patrice Godin adds his voice to those of Hugo Girard, known as the Louis Cyr of modern times, and Frédérique Dufort, actress and author, also ambassadors of Défi sportif AlterGo. With the Honourable Chantal Petitclerc and humanist Jean-Marie Lapointe, both spokespersons for the event, they will accompany the 7,000 athletes with functional limitations who are ready to exceed their limits.

Athletes, volunteers, partners and visitors may have the opportunity to meet Patrice Godin from April 23 to 29. Défi sportif AlterGo competitions are open to the public, free of charge. Consult the general schedule of activities and come support the 7,000 athletes from Quebec and 15 different countries. Also, while you are on site, take the opportunity to visit the entertainment area at the Claude-Robillard sports complex, where you can try out various adapted sports.
