Equipment loan

Through its loan service, Défi sportif AlterGo strives to facilitate the discovery of adapted sports. It contributes to raising awareness about the importance of universal accessibility as well as the reality of athletes with functional limitations. One needs to try out an adapted sport to fully appreciate the talent, strength, and fitness of the athletes who practice it!

Our material is available to organizations (be them members of AlterGo or not) wishing to raise their participants’ awareness about adapted sports. Schools and other institutions that wish to organize sports initiation activities are also welcome to use the service. The equipment loan service is made possible with the outstanding contribution of many partners, namely Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation, the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Foundation of Québec and the Fonds Josée Lavigueur of Opération Enfant Soleil.

An equipment catalogue is available. The equipment can be borrowed for free for the desired time.

Terms and Conditions

A security deposit, in proportion to the value of the equipment, may be required. The deposit is reimbursed in full if the material is returned on time and in its original condition. The borrower is responsible for the equipment for the duration of the loan. If there is breakage, loss or theft, or if repairs are required, the borrower will reimburse any expenses incurred.

The borrower is in charge of transportation back and forth. Pickup and delivery happen at the Défi sportif AlterGo offices, located at 525 Dominion Street in Montreal. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday, 9 am to noon and 1 to 4 pm. We recommend that you make an appointment. Given that the inventory is limited, Défi sportif AlterGo cannot guarantee the availability of all needed material. It is highly recommended that you make your enquiries ahead of time!
